Warranty Information
JONESTOWN AUTO CENTER STANDARD 30 DAY WARRANTY
All auto parts are guaranteed to arrive at the shipping address in the condition as stated at the time of purchase. Our parts are guaranteed to function properly in accordance to age, mileage, and intended design, unless otherwise noted in the item description.
This standard limited warranty for mechanical merchandise expires 30 days from the date of purchase. Jonestown Auto Center is not liable for any labor charges to install or remove the parts, or for any consequential damages that result including, but not limited to the loss of wages, income or salary, or car rental charges. The buyer is responsible for returning the merchandise in the condition it was given for a refund to be conveyed. The buyer agrees that all warranties are void if the part has been improperly installed or the vehicle after installation is not maintained in accordance to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Failure to follow proper installation procedures voids all warranties. All warranties are void if the vehicle after installation is abused, vandalized, involved in an accident, or used for racing or off road purposes.
The buyer acknowledges that the installer is willing to install used parts and has the means necessary to install the part properly. Engines, transmissions, carriers, radiators, A/C compressors and power steering pumps are drained before shipping or pick-up. The buyer understands that all parts as applicable need to be filled to the proper levels of new oil, transmission fluid, anti-freeze, and or other fluids in accordance to the manufacturer’s specifications.
The condition for mechanical parts is determined by mileage which can be actual or estimated. In most cases, mileage is determined by observing what is indicated on the speedometer. If the speedometer does not function, the mileage is determined by information presented on the bill of sale, salvage certificate, last serviced paperwork, or other documentation if available. Estimates are generally the number of years the vehicle has been on the road multiplied by 12,000 miles. Sometimes the mileage is initially estimated, but is changed afterwards after the actual mileage is discovered.
Electrical merchandise is excluded from this warranty.
The condition of body parts is measured by the number of unit damage on the part. 6 square inches of damage, the size of a credit card (3”X2”) is equal to 1 unit of damage. The condition of body parts can be a subjective process, and additional units of damage can be included in its condition based on other characteristics such as brake dust, fade, or clear peeling. Body parts generally require cleaning, painting, and finishing before installation on a vehicle.
Jonestown Auto Center is not liable and the buyer waives all claims for consequential damages resulting from the sale or the parts received including, but not limited to, labor charges to install or remove the parts, loss of income, wages or salary, or car rental charges. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that all parts are installed properly, safely, or legally.
